The objective of a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) is to determine the nature and extent of environmental impacts at a site through an intrusive sampling program, often as a result of recommendations submitted in the Phase I ESA report.

The typical scope of work may include:

Determining the appropriate criteria for comparison of laboratory analytical results;
Surveying the site and determining groundwater flow direction;
Interpretation of the data which may include modeling or qualitative risk assessment; and
Preparation of a comprehensive report documenting the environmental condition of the site.

S2S Environmental is highly experienced at developing and implementing efficient intrusive investigation programs. The methodology employed in our Phase II ESAs is based on the requirements of CAN/CSA-Z769-00, and Ontario Regulation 153/04 (as amended by O.Reg. 511/09 and O.Reg. 245/10), Record of Site Condition. We have conducted numerous Phase II ESAs across Canada at a variety of site types including heavy industrial, commercial (including dry cleaning sites), manufacturing, multi residential properties, as well as greenfield and brownfield properties. S2S Environmental is experienced with all types of contaminants including petroleum hydrocarbons, volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds, metals, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) etc.

S2S Environmental has also successfully filed Records of Site Conditions, and we have a number of Qualified Professionals on staff as defined by O.Reg. 153/04.
